The Life Changing Weekend

Season and Jamie were engaged on February 20, 1999 in the gardens of Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The couple had planned a "mystery weekend" at the Acorn Cottage months in advance; Little did either of them know at the time, that weekend would be a life changing one. After walking the gardens (Season's favorite place in the world to be), Jamie asked her to sit for a pictures. While she found a spot he dug around in the camera bag. He came over, got down on one knee and presented her with a stuffed kitty, dressed complete in wedding gown with veil and a ring bearing back-pack. Of course the answer was "yes" (even though Season forgot to say so at the time). Jamie had reservations at the Biltmore Bistro (that does not normally accept reservations) for lunch and they spent the rest of the day virtually alone in the rooms of Biltmore. Later that evening they found chocolate covered strawberries, truffles and champagne in their room at the B&B. The hostess made them a fabulous dinner with the other three couples staying that weekend and everyone sat in silence trying to catch a glimpse of her hand. They all knew what was supposed to happen but didn't want to say anything until they knew it did happen! Finally, she stood up and waved her hand, rock and all. Jamie could finally relax and the rest is, well, history!
